As far as I can tell, it would be physically possible to introduce to South East train high speed train service from Ashford International to Charing Cross via HS1. The 395s would use HS1 to Southfleet / Fawkham Junction. Journey time from Ashford to Charing Cross would be 50 mins.

You'd have a faster service from Ashford to London Bridge, Waterloo and Charing Cross stations. But there would be nowhere useful to stop between Ashford and London Bridge.

Surely this kind of service is worth a shot, even if only once a day in each direction for commuter traffic. And no £££ supplements, please !

And it'd be nice if they could also let staff travel on a priv. during peak hours (Peak apparently being arriving into London any time before 0959am)

Not to mention the queue to London Bridge for ALL trains, the congestion between London Bridge and Charring Cross and offcourse the limited platform capacity of Charring Cross itself.

Dream on, will never happen.
