Hello

2C47 PRE 1004 - BIF 1133 (1)
2C49 BIF 1138 - CAR 1428 (2)

Hope this not a daft question ! If we get the 1004 to barrow does it meet with the Barrow to Carlisle train ? Or could we get stuck at barrow ?

Cheers

Paul

If all is running smoothly then yes they do connect but I have heard the 11:38 won't wait if the 10:04 from Preston is late in.

2C49 from Barrow is actually 1140 departure.

I have been keeping a track on this to counter someone I knows incredible pessimism about this connection. The past month or so has been as follows (missed connection only on 4th July by the looks of it),

(Date/Minutes late Carnforth/Minutes late Barrow/Minutes gained/Barrow Arrival/Departure time of the 1140/Minutes for the connection)

Someone said on another thread that the Carlisle will only wait up to 10 minutes for the inbound from Preston due to the single lines further down the route.

I did the 1004 from Preston, then a change to the Carlisle train at Barrow-in-Furness on the 14th June and all went well, I did have to use the underpass to change platforms though.

Usually always underpass between trains. 20 or so attempts so far for me, never missed
