Me too (safeguarded)
I hope as you're on here, you're not one of the plethora of safeguarded staff who hardly even use it to travel at all. It's such a waste, if I had it would used up by about August every year lol

Yes, I have one. Also First Group boxes for free travel on other First Group TOCS (and a handy book of vouchers allowing your friends to travel with you for £5)

I have a question about 'PRIV' cards: do they allow travel on all TOCs, or just the TOC (or group where relevant) that you're employed by?

And what happens if you hold a priv but the TOC you work for is given to a different group, or have the franchise's map divided up by the DfT (such as Central Trains)?

Priv (75% off) is valid on all TOCs; for TOCNE this excludes the former Strathclyde PTE services. I don't know about the rules for open access operators; Grand Central, Wrexham/Shropshire and Hull Trains.

Depending on how each parent company work it then you get a pass for unlimited travel on your own TOC, plus either unlimited travel on the other group TOCs (London Midland staff get Southeastern and Southern) or limited journeys per pass validity (I believe something like this applies to FirstGroup).

I did go through a de-motivated patch (UK wise) four or five years ago when at least one card did not get completely filled up and a couple were used up on stupid journeys such as Tottenham Hale to Stansted Airport. Something approaching normal service has now been resumed during the last couple of years, however I tend to do fewer miles now there are hardly any decent trains in the UK any more.

I work for FCC so get free standard class unlimited travel on all FCC services plus get 16 First only boxes which entitle me to enjoy free standard class unlimited travel for 48 hours each box on all other First TOCs except the SPT area in Scotland and the Scottish Sleeper although I've been told the box is valid on the lounge carriage of the Great Western sleeper.

I also get priv rate on my Oyster card as well due to the arrangement between TFL and FCC.

Finally get free unlimited standard class travel with NXEC at the weekends only and 75% priv travel off all other services.

So who says First is not good to work though then!

Add me with retired safeguarded privs and 14 boxes per year.

Also my Scottish "womble" free bus/coach pass.

Also my retired TfL free travel pass (former London Buses Manager) which I could swap for a first class priv (no boxes) if I so wished.

My wife also enjoys the same facilities.

I'm not sure about HT, but my dad keeps going on that i'm not allowed to use HT... Maybe it's the same with GC and W/S ??
