at first I thought "look at windows for carrige type". Did that, then realised it could be a Mk1 pullman (like bachmann do at the mo), but then got confused and decided it was neither a standard mk1 or a pullman!

Don't be silly! Cattle have more protection than that under EEC rules. Space to move for a start.

I think either a 4DES or 8DES has filled in for a failed 442 on a handful of occasions. 450s running Poole trains aren't uncommon.
