I have never been to Scotland so I have decided to spend overnight in Berwick and travel on this service over The Highland main line does anyone know what traction will be used? and whether there is anything to see in Inverness?

Inverness is pleasant, but unless you have time to venture out of the city, you could end up getting bored quite quickly. Anyway, the main thing to see in Inverness is the castle. Lovely red sandstone building, now houses the Sheriff Court.
You could also take a walk along the river.
If you like shopping, then you have a pleasant enough shopping centre as well!!
All within 5mins walk of the station.
You should enjoy it. Lovely city.

Traction wise. Id say probably a 67, or if not, then a 47.
