Sorry.....bamboozled by my week traveling around Scotland and then the Forum meal in Exeter!

What is the maximum permitted speed for passenger trains on the recently reopened line between Crediton and Okehampton?

Correct....although you have the advantage of being issued with a paper copy of the relevant Sectional Appendix! Your turn to shut-off power.

Incidentally, prior to the 1968 closure to passengers, it was 85 mph - the standard Southern Railway/Region speed limit for main lines - but was then reduced to 50 mph when it became freight only....and I believe was further reduced in recent years (40/35?). It's still pretty ropey between Crediton and the site of Yeoford Junction, judging by my experience last week.

OK....from now onwards my name is Englebert Humperdinck!

Next question:

How many Class 33 locomotives were built to the narrower Hastings line loading gauge?

Which Class 33 was used in the 1965-1966 trials in which the push-pull system for the Weymouth services was developed?

Continuing the nautical theme: the first proper train-ferry service opened in 1850 between Granton and Burntisland. Who was the engineer responsible for its introduction?
