Having spent seventeen years as a Platform Controller/Train Dispatcher, I am looking to get back into the rail industry in this, or a similar, role. I would greatly appreciate some advice on recruitment agencies that deal specifically with the rail industry. Many thanks.

The only recruitment agency I know of is Samuel Knight who specialise in rail and energy sector recruitment. However it tends to be more for engineering and qualified driver roles. Network Rail and most TOCS/FOCS have their own careers websites so it may be worth registering for job alerts.

Depends where you are based. Try Proactive rail for customer service assistant jobs in and around London.

That's the employment agency called Indeed !

Ontrak recruitment have a lot of work on Southern, Thameslink and Great Northern as well as some odd work on Southeastern, Chiltern and Greater Anglia along with Express Rail who cover the same area pretty much

And you’ve also got STM Security Who do all sorts but also have a contract to provide customer service staff to London Overground along with Proactive Rail
