Has anyone been here? Is it any good or worth some time there (if I'm in the area)?

not worth it, been there before, if you do go, only use it as a quick distraction between trains at the NVR, it takes less than 1 hour to see everything, I would not recommend it, if you have not been before it may be interesting to have a look but it does not change. on another note they have a very friendly cat called "Stevenson" I'd recommend having a quick look but it is rather expensive and its just a bunch of portacabins

Some parts can be interesting but it is classed as one of the attractions of Bungit (Sorry Peterborough!).

Saying that, there are a few railway related places where you could see running trains which is the mainline itself, the NVR and the minature railway in Ferry Meadows itself.

Course I always recommend you check the opening times as it can be upsetting to make the trip to find everything closed.

I agree i was waiting for an steam loco to show up at the Nene Valley Railwa so i could film it arriving but had an good hour to kill, so went to Railworld, for three pounds, price is good but there isn't much there and i think it's more for kids than adults, i only used it to pass time while i was waiting for an steam loco which turned out to be Polish!

Railworld was, some 30 years ago, the brilliant idea of Rev Richard Patten who wished establish a true railway world museum (with engines carriages and wagons from each continent if possible ) but this remarkable project foundered-alas!!!- totally some years ago ..a true failure the present "railworld" is not rail and world oriented only a not very interesting "sustainable development outfit" with some rail spice!!!!!!!
