I misread SuzanneParis' recent thread title and began to think of a point to point ticket valid on all TOCs. I think that will just descend into a Penzance to Wick answer so instead...

What is a reasonable point-to-point journey you could make using the most TOCs?
The route must be valid for the ticket. You can use any two stations but I just think Penzance to Wick is a bit obvious but also wouldn't be valid in Sussex/Kent.
My best idea is - Marlow to Falkirk Grahamston return
Marlow - Hayes & Harlington (gWr)
H&I - Paddington (Heathrow Connect)
Fenchurch Street - West Ham (c2c)
West Ham - Stratford (DLR)
Stratford - Cambridge (Greater Anglia)
Cambridge - Ely (GTR)
Ely - Peterborough (XC)
Peterborough - Doncaster (VTEC)
Doncaster - Leeds (Northern)
Leeds - Newcastle (Transpennine Express)
Newcastle - Edinburgh (VTEC)
Edinburgh - Falkirk G (Scotrail)

Falkirk G - Glasgow Central (Caledonian Sleeper)
Glasgow Central - Preston (VTWC)
Preston - Ormskirk (Northern)
Ormskirk - Chester (Merseyrail)
Chester - Shrewsbury (Arriva Trains Wales)
Shrewsbury - Birmingham New Street (London Midland)
Birmingham Moor Street - Banbury (Chiltern)
Banbury - Marlow (FGW)

I know this can be bettered.

You haven't included Island Line Trains, Grand Central or First Hull Trains

How would a ticket between Marlow and Falkirk be valid via Tonbridge and Redhill?
