The D16/1 design locos 10000 & 10001 were allocated Red Diamond multiple working classification. By curious coincidence, Class 58 is also allocated Red Diamond and 58022 will form the chassis for the reconstructed 10000.

However each Red Diamond system was different. Does anyone know where a layman's description of Multiple Working classifications might be found ?

There used to be a brief explanation in the Ian Allen abc books at one time.
