Ok so tonight is now the 4th time this year that this line has been closed down, the first time it was due to a cracked culvert, can't quite remember what the second time was for, and the 3rd and 4th time are now due to heavy flooding.
It seems a bit ridiculous now!
All I'm wondering is what can be done? Because surely it can't keep being shut down like this

If the problems are that serious it's either keep patching it as failures occur or shut down the line for an extended period of time while you rebuild all structures. Obviously the latter takes longer to plan and execute as well as being more disruptive and expensive in the short term even if it is better in the long term.

All closures are for the same reason, until the culvert can be repaired.

It gets closed for a big blockade soon to do the slew and HS2 bridge.
