Hope this is the right thread but
Just wondering what is left and for how long ?
Weekly Drax to Killoch on Fridays
Cwm bargoed one or two per day , some seem to go to Port Talbot I assume for the steel plant
Onllywn a few times per week 9 ( has Gwaun cae Gurwen finished )
Immingham to Scumthorpe steel
Probably some power station coal but low in summer ?

Any info appreciated

Padeswood (Penyffordd) Cement Works used to have a weekly delivery of coal from Yorkshire.
I don't know if that is still running in some form.
There may be some other non-power station flows.

There appears only to be one coal per week from Blyth , on a Tuesday to Tees Yard , there used to two a day at least from Blyth to PS
Wonder if this is just seasonal , and where the present weekly working ends up

It is seasonal, but with the closure of Cottam power power station, they might not run again
this Winter (assuming that West Burton can get the coal it needs from Immingham in future)

..and where the present weekly working ends up
That train actually continues overnight to Port Talbot, and was previously operated by Freightliner
(the layover was at York back then) until a couple of months ago.

There are various paths each day on RTT for the following which run via the Durham Coast line (most paths are 'runs as required')
Tyne Coal - Drax
Tyne Coal - Port Clarrence
North Blyth - Drax

It's booked to run on a Tuesday as the wagons go on to work the Redcar to Immingham blending train on a Wednesday

I noticed last week that half of the cooling towers at Fiddlers Ferry PS were working.
But I don't know if that is from coal or biomass, or if any of it was delivered by rail.
It is supposed to close in March 2020.

There is enough coal at both Fiddlers and Aberthaw to last through to their closure dates,
so no further deliveries will be needed, I'm afraid...
