Pay this week is still at the higher rate.
I am not convinced it will be , that is not how the pay offer in full document reads , and when i got the payslip for the advance payment on friday it still had the old rate of pay on it . Have you heard otherwise ?

What’s the pay rise for signallers? 3.5% regardless of grade? I thought that was rejected.

Am I right in reading the following: if you’re close to or at your max pay for your band, the 4.5% is a one off lump sum and not an actual increase?
The "bands" apply to those who work in offices or managerial positions, that are on role clarity contracts. These have a sliding payment scale. This doesn't apply to frontline operations / maintenance grades staff. The 4.5% is the increase in rates of pay, not a one-off lump sum.

Hi, in the above email it states ‘if the new salary is higher than the top of the pay range, the additional payment will be paid as a lump sum’.

Did anyone after Jan the 1st?
I started in March and didn’t get the pay rise. Which means now I’m a step behind others.
I know others that started post Jan and have just received their back pay this week late.

But this pay deal includes Bands 5-8. essentially, if you are at the top of the pay range for that band, you will get a lump sum, rather than a pay increase.

What do you mean? Your rate of pay should now reflect the pay rise and be the same as anyone else doing the same job. You would just have missed out on the back pay.

sorry, what I mean is did anyone else start after January 1st and didn’t receive anything?

Why wouldn’t I get back paid to my start date? Given that the pay increase should have been given at the start of the year, then when I took the job in March my pay would have reflected the pay rise already. However I’ve been in touch with HR and they don’t believe I’m entitled to anything? My pay then sits a step below everyone else in the same role.

Just seems unfair

You would need to check your Ts & Cs and exactly when your pay anniversary date is (is it January 1st, as it varies greatly between employers and whether TOC or NR). Again, it's potentially a small amount of back pay you've missed out on which doesn't mean your pay 'sits a step below everyone else in the same role' as you should now be on the same salary as everyone performing that role as the new salary for your role should apply to everyone.

That’s the thing, according to HR it doesn’t, and I won’t be getting a pay review until January next year.

What TOC is it? No one on TOCs for frontline or operational grades would of received anything already anyway.

Or are you NR?

All quiet on the Great Western front

Poor - thought theme was "mending bridges" after long dispute ? Some TOCs really don't help themselves, hope Louise Haigh is watching.

Wifey got communication from RMT today, for GWR, basic pay backpay will be in November’s pay run, enhancements, OT and anything extra will be in Decembers pay run once payroll have finished working it all out.

So according to Regional Officer, WMT are still waiting on TSSA to confirm the result of their ballot and that is why no payment has been made to RMT members this month. They are ready to pay all owed monies in November pay but cannot confirm until all unions have formally accepted the proposal as per collective bargaining.

So if you know any TSSA reps, please ask them to highlight this to their union

One question how can the person in post 622 wife be getting told from rmt back pay in November if this hasn’t even happened yet

Northern have confirmed the acceptance of the deal by all three relevant unions and are aiming to get back pay into the November pay packet.

Assume they have been told it will happen in November, dependent on TSSA confirming acceptance.

Best asking that question to RMT, they were the ones who sent the email out. There was no mention of it being dependent on TSSA acceptance.

Because clearly it's just WMT that haven't received the response from TSSA

I believe TSSA may have responded to some but not all TOCs, seems shambolic if so
