Was an ITV series a few years ago, on Netflix now. I know it was filmed in Anglesey and Liverpool but in S2 episode 3 near the start there is a dark blue electric train crossing a viaduct. Any idea what class and where it is in the real world?

Barely visible at the bottom is a body of water that the camera has swept over - possibly a canal on an aqueduct.

The unit is one of Northern's class 319s, and the location would appear to be the viaduct at Carr Mill Dam, north of St Helens on the line to Wigan:

So what does the location have to do with a series / programme supposedly set in Anglesey?

It's where the body was dumped. The series also has locations in Liverpool so I can buy this. Not half as confusing as the North West locations in Stay Close, where she regularly drives South over Runcorn Bridge and ends up in Blackpool!

No problem, I enjoy a bit of geographical detective work, and as soon as I clocked it was one of Northern's 319s it didn't take too long to track down the location from the relatively limited range of routes they operated.
