A question, on some Sundays the line between Salisbury & Yeovil Junction is closed, with services diverted via Westbury and Castle Cary [rejoining the line after Yeovil Pen Mill].

A network/gold card would be valid on the regular route, but would a network/gold card discounted Salisbury to Axminster be valid via the diversion route or would it have to be the replacement bus to Yeovil and join the train a few hours later?

Where trains are diverted in this way, tickets for the normal route are still accepted. The replacement bus is almost certainly only for people requiring the intermediate stations with no train service.
