I've never heard of a burger chain called "Casey Jones", what part(s) of the UK were they found in?

Well, it makes me feel as old as George Stephenson, but they were a chain of burger restaurants developed by Travellers Fare, ie. BR's catering division, shortly after McD's started colonising the 51st state in 1975. There was one on Waterloo, which i remember very well. They lasted until 1994.

So it was a state owned fast food place ?

Swiss CoOp or UK Co Op?
Swiss coop - one of their biggest supermarkets alongside Migros, if not the biggest - http://www.coop.ch/

There is a good article here with a picture of the inside where it is a shop here https://www.srf.ch/sendungen/kassen...ehr/reisen-und-einkaufen-die-misserfolgsstory. Also includes a good SRF radio article about various projects for buying on the go including the coop experiment comparing them to current modern experiments around apps and pick up at stations, etc. Text in German - radio article in Swiss German :)

Note that Migros is also a (farmer's rather than worker's or customer's) co-op - and there's also the Raiffeisenbanken, named after someone who pioneered...the co-operative banking movement. Clearly a popular thing in CH.

Over here the Co-operative Bank barely deserves the title any more after its terrible business decisions caused it to have to sell a big chunk outside the Movement.

Probably straying way off topic, but there's a very handy Co-op just outside Zurich Hbf as well. Saves a fortune when buying snack & supplies whilst hoofing around Switzerland.
