Reserve pool too. That's good news though!!They are still processing it like ours too then by the sounds of it. I’d imagine they have a lot to go through. Patience is a virtue so they say
Email out just now. I am in a reserve pool for 6 months. More successful applicants than positions available. Fingers crossed something changes in the next 6 months.
What happens after 6 months if no changes? Do I apply again if the post comes back up?
Sorry about your email. Good luck with your future. No think I'll stick to what I'm already doing, wanted to try the railway and put in my best effort but fell short, disappointed but good luck everyone else.
I know the disappointment your feeling I was the same the first time round, just think it's such an achievement to even get to interview stage for these roles. Don't be so hard on yourself. See how you feel when another opportunity comes up. Sometimes it's 2nd/3rd time lucky. No think I'll stick to what I'm already doing, wanted to try the railway and put in my best effort but fell short, disappointed but good luck everyone else.
I've just recieved a reserve pool email also for Inverness. Delighted for us allReserve pool too. That's good news though!!

It says still under consideration after attending an interview
It did say under further considerationDoes it say under consideration, or under 'further' consideration?
Ok, same as my one. (Not Inverness)It did say under further consideration

It’s horrible when you get the rejection email, had one or two myself.Just got the dreaded rejection email
Yeah I'm disappointed but I've waited 5 weeks to get a generic email since my interview. I was told at my interview I'd know in a week so I think it's quite unprofessional making candidates wait that long after being told something else. I think I'd be more disappointed if I was told the week after my interview but as time has went on I'm not so disappointed now. Luckily I've got a good job that pays the same so not so bad.I know the disappointment your feeling I was the same the first time round, just think it's such an achievement to even get to interview stage for these roles. At interview I was told they couldn't confirm how many jobs there were as it would depend on internal candidates applying for driver, which I took that they don't have any jobs currently.Did anyone interviewed for conductor in Inverness get job offer? Looks like a lot of people have been put in reserve pool (like myself).

(when i was put on reserve pool for driver in 2019 they did say at interview there was 1 job, but this interview they didn't give any number).
Considering driver recruitment for inverness was advertised a couple of weeks after conductor and its a longer process, we could be in the reserve pool a good wee while, and potentially no job at the end.
Just have to accept its a long process.
Sad but ........
Disappointing but you have passed the assessments and these are valid for a number of years. It wouldn’t surprise me if you’re contacted further down the line by the company asking if you’re still interested as something has opened up.Just got the dreaded rejection email
That’s great news, well done! I hope the move goes well, definitely exciting times ahead!Hello all,
I got the conditional offer of employment from SR this week for Aberdeen, pending medical, dbs and references. I am a guard for 18 years. Me and my family are excited for this move. Though moving home from one end to another end of the UK is a problem. Looking forward to it. Lol.
I hope I might encounter someone from here those who have passed out and joining our Co. Well done!
For those who didn't make it this time, I'm sorry. Don't loose heart. Perseverance is the key. I had many failures in my past career and even within my soon to be ex rail company. Practice what you failed on (for assessments), for interview research thoroughly and give examples you did encounter in your previous or current career. Practice with someone like a spouse or friend. Then you will realise its not simply chatting. Putting the points across relevant to the question with proven examples hidden with emphasis on personal safety and passenger safety is vital. This was what I have done during my interview. I even bookmarked SR career page on my browser so everytime I open up, it updates me on vacancies and latest news, helpful for the interview question: Why SR?.
I know when you get the sorry and the rejection mail, like the whole world is slipping under you and you question the existence of God, values and ultimately yourself etc. Regret, assess and spring back and keep trying and good luck.
Thanks to the members and the Railforum I did learn a lot and helping me in my career.
It's always worth writing to them! If anything, it shows that you are really interested.Anyone heard anything in regards to Perth or Levenmouth applications? Profile just says under 'further' consideration. Been like that for a few months now with no contact from HR. I keep thinking I should email for an update but always bottle it in case they think I'm being a pest.
Just fired off an email to woman who does the recruitment, see if I hear back from her. It's always worth writing to them! If anything, it shows that you are really interested.
I've just had my 'met the standard' email. Happy days!!! Inverness based.
Good luck everyone!!!
Oops , meant to post this on trainee drivers feed.
Have already passed conductor interview and on reserve pool.
