Scotrail "Reserve Pool" chances of getting the job?

Hi.
I recently received an email from Scotrail regarding my Ticket Examiner application and it informed me that I had been successful at interview stage but there had been too many successful candidates for the amount of jobs there was to fill. It said I would be placed on the reserve pool for 6 months. What are the chances of actually getting the job and after the 6 months I believe I am back to square one.

If you look at the Scotrail drivers thread there are people who were put into a reserve pool and a few weeks later given jobs so don't write it off.

I was in the same position after an application in February 2017 and they've just offered me a job now! It sounds like you are being fobbed off at the time but this clearly isn't the case.

Wow as long as that? Id just like to know where I am on this reserve list so I have an idea of my chances.

You've done well to pass your interview and I reckon they'll keep you in mind when something comes up. Keep an eye for jobs that are listed on the website in the meantime and if anything comes up go for it

I just hope something comes up in the near future. Always seeing that Scotrail is under staffed yet I cant get the job lol.
