I need to get a refund on 6 months of an annual season ticket.

Previously, the magnetic strip stopped working so I swapped it for a new one. The new ticket is marked as "duplicate" with a price of £0. Is this a problem?

This might well pose an issue, as a replacement for a faulty magnetic strip should not say duplicate and should have the value written on it (in ink if not printed). "Duplicate" (rather than Replacement) tickets are meant to be issued when the original has been lost or stolen

I'm an idiot. I'm looking at last year's which was a duplicate. This year's is a replacement. Thanks!

What is the journey covered by your season ticket? You might get a larger refund if you do a changeover to a very cheap annual season (eg. Lichfield City-Lichfield Trent Valley)

It depends on when the OP purchased their season ticket as changeovers are based on the price at the time the original season ticket was purchased.

So if the OP's season ticket started on or before 31/12/15 then Lichfield City - Lichfield Trent Valley would be the best ticket to change to.

If the season ticket starts on or after 01/01/16 then Hatton - Lapworth would be best.

Both of the above would retain Gold Card status. A cheaper option, but without Gold Card status, would be to change to Dockyard-Devonport.

I have a 'Replacement' for a worn out ticket and it is marked £0.00, not the original price

All season ticket replacements print as £0.00. I've never known of an instruction to write the original price on the replacement ticket, never seen it done either.

(My post was aimed to counter PermitToTravel's, not to indicate that my ticket is incorrect in any way)

I wasn't meaning to imply anyone's ticket was incorrect, I did wonder about quoting both posts, perhaps I should have.
