BRFares shows two options for this route. "Direct", and "Any Permitted". Since Selby is a routeing point, and East Garforth is a member of Leeds Group, and the only mapped route between the two is HL, ie "Direct", what additional routes can the Any Permitted fare be used on?

Many thanks as always for any replies.

Looking, it seems the any permitted is via Leeds. National Rail sells them for the evening services, when there aren't any direct Selby-East Garforth anymore.

This journey is impossible without going via Leeds or York during Sundays and evenings. However the booking engines route you via Leeds rather than via York.

Other than the argument that the shortest route on the date of travel should be permitted, there isn't anything I can see to validate the journey via Leeds, other than common sense (which isn't applied by booking engines, and is rarely applied by the people who are constantly messing about with the Routeing Guide either ;))
