Station Grade B? General Purpose Relief? Which station area?
Usually means covering different stations within an area, covering booking office roles and the chargeman roles. Sometimes means dispatching trains depending on where you are based…
I found pros were working in different places with different staff each day, picking up a good wage on top of your basic pay for extra hours/ rest days, pretty much left to your own devices mostly
Cons were having to change shifts at very short notice by the time office, having to be extremely flexible and often ending up on back shifts when rostered for early shifts
