Drawing attention to my last post, have any of you had the transport hub that is Broomfleet yet? ;)

It's on the York-Hull line and I'd say it's Kite's dream. Very flat round these parts so excellent cycling conditions.

I've got it pencilled in for a potential FoNE trip next year to try and get most of the shacks in that area, although Broomfleet I think I've got something like a +15 there. Will be a couple nights stay in Doncaster to get Saltmarshe into my book early morning, with the bike for those other two limited served shacks on that line

Indeed there's an easier +15 at Broomfleet but I did the evening +31 with me chasing my last 185 around this morning.

Saltmarshe has a similar +10 from the Hull direction in the evening too. I myself am looking at buses tomorrow or a very long fester to get in Wressle and Eastrington.

I have yet to see properly what you got scored. I was rushing my post before I left the area of free WiFi I found in Llandrindod!

Apart from Brough I need everything between Hull and Selby. Same between Hull and Seamer, exception being Bridlington!

FQ: Don't worry, me and Kite will clear the Borderlands line for shacks before you! <D

I always look out for people venturing to stations around Wigan. It's good to see forum members venturing to these parts although when I read that back to myself, it reads more like I am in Helmsdale.

Appley Bridge is a damn evil station to swap platforms though!

Probably not as evil at Gathurst.

Although I think Uphall will take some beating in the evil station to swap platforms states

--------

Well done on getting Ardwick International into your book Richard :)

Was gonna do Gathurst, glad I didn't now. Uphall I just gave up, went to the shop and did a linear move instead.

Must admit, I was quite pleased to score a +3 at Livingston North when I visited there. Uphall made me have nightmares

23/7:

Cromer
Roughton Road
Gunton
North Walsham
Salhouse
Worstead
Hoveton & Wroxham
Shippea Hill

Only West Runton remains on the Sherington branch, and that was due to a dog box somehow arriving into Gunton a mere 40 minutes late and getting turned around at Cromer pretty much messing up the services for the rest of the afternoon

But on the brighter side I did get North Walsham without an hour fester (passing point on the single line section which makes Uphall seem easy, you need a good 6 minutes to walk between platforms)

Yep, always have done. We have some from New York and Brussels in this thread at the least.

I keep going back and forth on whether to shack scratch or chase winners tomorrow!

Where would you be shack scratching if you go for that? What winners would you be chasing if you went for them?

68008 as the big priority, otherwise I'm chasing shacks on the Heart of Wales!
008 ended up at Stourbridge on Friday night so there will be a 1 in 3 chance of it appearing on the day turn.

I'm probably going to pop out for the afternoon and do a Leam-Solihull (on a cart)-Banbury on the 1 in 3 chance cat, the other two chances being 010 (which is my second lowest on 403.25) and 015 (which is my lowest on 379)-Moor Street-Leam on cats (which I have a hunch will be 013) so if you head for Brum and fancy joining me then feel free.

What about all those lovely shacks on the Borderlands line that you're missing out on ;)? I wonder how many you could get in a day...

I could easily do the remains of the Borderlands line in a day, iirc some of the stations at the Wrexham end are quite close together and could be walkable if not rideable if the blue monster comes out to play :)

68008 has been a thorn in my side (and my leg, and my arms, and...well you get the picture!) for longer than the Borderlands shacks have been an irritance. There's also the need for some 68 thrash, it's been a while now. Decision to be made in the morning!
