That looks fun, shame I'm away this weekend!

They've helpfully provided some "rules":

How to take part

  • Purchase a Super Saturday ticket (don’t forget, up to four accompanying kids travel for just £1).
  • Before boarding your first train, send a copy of your itinerary to @SESuperSaturday on Twitter.
  • You’ll need to take a picture of your ticket at each station that you board or change trains at. Then tweet @SESuperSaturday using #SESuperSaturday so we can check your progress.
The “rules” (but remember, it’s all a bit of fun)

  • You don’t need to stop at every Southeastern station, just make sure your train passes through each one.
  • The following routes don’t have a regular Southeastern service on Saturdays and therefore don’t need to be completed: Hastings to Ore, Otford to Sevenoaks via Bat & Ball.
  • The “Catford Loop” (Between Nunhead and Shortlands) is included as a qualifying route as Southeastern run non-stop services on this route).
  • You can travel by foot between Southeastern stations to complete the challenge, eg between Canterbury East and Canterbury West.
  • In the event of service disruption on a route, Southeastern may declare that the route is exempt from the challenge. This will be communicated via the dedicated @SESuperSaturday Twitter account

I hope taking a fast train that passes by but not through stations (London Bridge to Lewisham, skipping New Cross and St Johns) doesn't count as going to those stations.

Are there other examples of that around SE Land?

Now.... Tonbridge to Hastings is an interesting one. Do you have to double-back all the way or is travel via Rye (at extra cost) permitted?!

I would guess with "The Super Saturday ticket is only valid on Southeastern services. If you wish to travel between two points on another operator’s services then you’ll need to buy a ticket to cover this part of your journey." being included on the website that you can buy a single from Hastings to Ashford to avoid doubling back on yourself.
