Southern Annual Season Ticket Renewals-iTunes voucher

I made a thread like this some time ago, except there is one difference.

I was today sent a leaflet by Southern advising me of how to renew my annual season ticket online, and how I would get a free £25 iTunes voucher.

The trouble is, I need a new photocard as my current one expires in April.

My question is this; Would it be treated as a renewal (so I get that iTunes voucher!) if I have a new photocard, or not. (Or is it irrelevant!)

Can you renew your ticket online, then get a new photocard and updated season ticket before April from a station?

Not sure if that is allowed.

Can't you just get a photocard from a station on its own first? Or do you have to buy a season?

I didn't know that photocards had an expiry date.
The photocard I have was issued in 1996 - no mention of an expiry date on it.

It would be useful if FCC did the iTunes offer!

@iphone76 Yes, I could do that, but surely I would incur the £10 admin fee?

@causton I could also do that, but surely then it wouldn't be classed as a renewal if I had a new photocard? Unless anyone can prove me wrong...
