Spa valley railway Cuckoo line gala!

The Spa Valley railway is doing a Cuckoo line gala this weekend (13-15th June) to commemorate 60 years since the closure of that line.

Interesting lineup, especially if you didn't get the chance to see the U class when it was in the Southeast last year. Additionally, there is the option to visit Heathfield Tunnel with the bus at Tunbridge Wells West to shuttle you there.

Surprised there havent been any responses to this thread!
While cycling between Tunbridge Wells and Three Bridges on Saturdaiy I spent an enjoyable lunch hour watching the trains at Groombridge. Everything was running very smoothly, which is all the more impressive with the intensive timetable that was in operation this weekend

Very pleased to see 1317 in service after it's graffiti attack.... I hope the CCTV has identified the culprits and they are brought to justice

It was running with the north side in blue/grey but the south side still in undercoat.


I was there on Friday and it was an excellent event, lots of action and the opening of Heathfield Tunnel wax an excellent addition.
