It would seem the batch is at least to be used on Route No7 and 95/97 routes. However that comes to around 12. So what will the other four be used to operate? 7A? which are not worth it? 43/44? again. Or could we see some service changes planned for May?

7A interworks with the 7, and the 97 works off it. Similarly, the 395 works off the 95.

Add that up and you've got a PVR of 15, so 1 spare.

7a does not justify such investment, never has over the last 20 years. 95 and 97 at least do. :D

Are you sure? From what I've seen, the 7 is allocated ADL Enviro300 single deckers, whilst the 7A tends to get a mixed back of ALX400 Tridents weekdays and Solos/Versas on Saturday.

7 i took was a 58 plate with high back seats , little legroom , very cramped

The PVR card for Aberhill reads as follows:
7/7A ADL E300 10.5
97 ADL E300 0.5

So from that you can see that the 7/7A are treated together for allocating purposes, though as there's only 2 spare E300s with 1 long term VOR, its not surprising Tridents/Versas etc appear

The Fleet card is misleading at times.

7, 7A do not interwork for 99% of the time, and fact the 7A has school worked clamped on. No7 bus has PVR for 9, and 7A has PVR 4. Yet 95 and 97 are interworked at St Andrews thus PVR is 4, however 395 boast that higher.

I would rather have the new buses on 7 and 95.

Is Perth getting ready to ditch Gold and transfer the E350H's?

At least two of them have been put into corporate livery with ALX400's and E300's now making regular appearances on the 7s...

Yup, plan is to send them to Aberdeen allowing their Hydrogens to go to First. This is once Aberhill get their new buses allowing Enviro 300s to be displaced to Perth

Quite surprised at this if they are planning on ditching Gold. Fantastic, can't wait to see what ruined E300s we get to suffer when Fife send through...

Aberhill depot are to receive a number of Scania OmniCity's from London to replace 18092-18100, which will move to Rennies, as a result of the 15 year age cap on East Fife school services (Central and West Fife are 20 years).

44015 is now part of the Arbroath ancillary fleet, although has seen service this week on both the 34 (Brechin Town Service), and 39 (Arbroath to Perth).

Why would "newer" Darts come to East Scotland when East Scotland doesn't even have any Darts at the present moment? I heard we were also getting extra Scania E400s but they may have been mistaken for the Scania Omnicity's.
Dundee is set to have a LEZ in place by 2020 so Arbroath will also need some new/cascaded vehicles by then.

Why the difference between east, west and central Fife?
Different tenders issued at different times. Xplore Dundee will also need to use newer vehicles on their Madras and Greyfriars contracts as the current 54-reg vehicles will surpass the 15 year age limit.

Also bear in mind there are service changes earmarked in the not too distant future.

Seems odd that the Versa's are hated so much, when they were up here on the 727 they were fantastic motors.

The Versas are struggling, a lot of them now 12 years old. Seems crazy to bring in Darts (E200s?) when E200s were replaced by Versas?

More service changes? Is Mrch not normally when fares go up as well?

30 odd Volvo B5LH/Wright Hybrid 'deckers at Plumstead in South East London are reported as up for replacement very soon and possible cascade within Stagecoach, they are Highbridge and have dual doors?

All I can say (and all I've been told) is that work is to be redistributed between depots. Fares usually rise in April in line with the new financial year.

Could be handy for engineering purposes, however, they're on completely different bodies to the ones currently at Arbroath on 20/21 and 73 services.

Darts/e200 were or are in a better state than versa. Anything would be better. Also if redistributed between depots happens, which I doubt, it strange since this parlty happened last November..
