Oh dear, lets hope it's not a repeat of Wales last year and that the new E200s are OK!

Looking at Tweets it looks like its a Chemical fire on a site next to the SC depot not in the depot itself.

Rugby buses could be disrupted on Monday

Roadworks/ Disruptions


Due to a fire near the Rugby Stagecoach depot on Sunday evening, bus services in the town could be disrupted on Monday.

The building near the depot has gas canisters in it and as such the fire crew have currently set up a 200m exclusion zone around the building. We are expected to be allowed to run buses in the morning if no further incidents occur.

Updates will appear here as and when we know more.

Today is the day that major changes take place on the SC Barrow area Network, changes have been posted before but in summary:

• more frequent buses for West Shore and Biggar Bank
• new regular service to Furness College and Hollywood Park
• new links to Holker Street, for the Rail Station, ASDA supermarket and Barrow AFC
• better bus access to the Tesco supermarket
• simplified, more regular route around Holbeck estate
• simplified fare structure
• new ‘Love Barrow’ identity on our buses, for a fresh new look

*“Love Barrow” was initiated by the Regeneration Publicity Team, which represents business, tourism, councils, the Urban Regeneration Company (West Lakes Renaissance), further and higher education and other regeneration organisations in the Borough.

The Love Barrow initiative logo sees a love heart rotated and sat on one of its sides, creating a 'B' for the words 'Love Barrow, Love Your Bus'. So I'm assuming this is what will be branded onto the buses.

The Fiesta Van on Staff Shuttle with 16184.

Talking to the driver on 47062, He asks me "How many pictures you took?" I said about 10. I took a picture of the same driver who was driving 14257 on 51 this morning so if you look closely, you might see that the driver put thumb's up whilst driving, picture in my flickr.

Stagecoach need some photos for the Lakesrider magazine, but they need to be photos that include a Stagecoach bus but where the bus is just the background to the main picture or at least has people waiting to board. If you have taken any scenic Summer photos ie leaves on trees !! or buses in front of historic buildings or going through pretty villages or going down country lanes etc please forward them to [email protected] by the end of this week. All vehicles should be in the current livery.

Although no payment will be made for the use of the photo you will be credited beside the photo.

As it is the "Summer" brochure no winter shots should be submitted at this stage.

33162 replaced 33161 later this morning, after I made my post. 33162 was down in the workshops this morning.

The Wright StreetLite working for Reays is MX60GXB. The other bus on the 75 at mid-day was PX10ABZ, with 75 branding.

PX10 ABZ replaced YX60 DXB on the 1207 to Bridge End from the courts.
PX10 ACF still out on 63 this evening.

Not a fan of that StreetLite at all. N/S picture O/S picture

Have to agree with you about the StreetLite - it does not look good to me from the outside.

The 75 change over at midday would explain why I saw a Primo running "not in service" on Lowther Street at about that time just after I noted PX10ABZ.

Not used to 69s being swapped - I wonder when I will see 33161 again - not seen it for absolutely ages.

A couple I forgot to mention earlier were 34718 on the 38 and 16337 on Carlisle Races duty.

No reason why 22600 shouldn't make it to Carlisle & back - after all, Carlisle's Enviro 300s make it to Dumfries and back - sometimes .

Both 08 reg solo's in Workington today then! 20910 replaced 47616 on Seaton. and 35246 on Staff Shuttle It's been chaos in Workington today Solo's have been changing routes left right and bloody centre!

47006 was this morning Moorclose 51, Harrington 46 finishing as Moorclose 50.
34218 was Harrington 46 then Moorclose 51.
47062 was Seaton 47 then Harrington 46.
47060 was Harrington 46 then Seaton 47.
47617 was Moorclose 50 then Harrington 46.
47616 came from the depot to do a few runs on Seaton 47.

The only bus that lasted the full day on one route was 34215 on Seaton 47.

33161 was in Keswick on saturday doing 73s so thats probaly why you havent seen it for ages. Posting this on my phone so if theres any mistakes Apologies.

33161 has been back out for a couple of weeks now after being stuck in the depot being worked on for a good while. It can normally be found on a Citi service. It wasn't sounding very good at all today on the 69 and that is probably why it was taken off. Just coincidence that 33161 was chosen to operate the 73A on Saturday and not something else.
