No, the Panthers aren't in service yet though I don't imagine they're far away. Highlands has been crying out for an upgrade to the coach fleet for a long long time.

Due to a road being closed off on the 179 route today 16397 was providing shuttle to Houghton, this was then replaced by Carlisle United 34703.

20960 on the 76 & 16337 on the 62. 34219 on the 61. All 3 ESA B10Ms out.

According to an ex Lancaster driver now working at Chorley the Tridents due for Chorley are for the X60/61. I thought they were to replace B10s so I'm not sure what's happening...

Don't forget that Chorley have lost some school work, and that October was originally mentioned for the schools Tridents going into service.

Incorrect, Tridents due into Chorley are to replace aged out Volvo Olympians, they will obviously see service on any route which requires them or due to operational requirements, B10's will be mothballed untill the Olympics when the exodus begins to London........

I was hoping you would comment! Thanks for clearing that up :)

With any luck displaced Olys will move up North, maybe one for ME to displace 14196 and the other 3 for KL? Or something like that lol.

20545 on 67's around 6 with 20544 on 179s.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Some more odd workings in Carlisle last night to add to the day workings:

16337 on service 62
16397 & 34703 on 179 shorts
20544 on service 179
20545 on 67 with another B10M
20960 on service 76 along with another B10M
34219 on service 61
34704 on service 71

God knows what happend! Presume it was down to traffic on Scotland Road.

20910 done a run on Harrington Circular 46A this morning. It returned to the bus station almost 15 minutes late. It replaced a broken 47061.
20918 was going to replace 47007 on Moorclose 51 so 47007 could replace 20910, but 20918 wouldn't start up.

Not my pic.

22135 was out again today on a 49.
21005 was out on the 7.
Quite a lot of MANs on 2/2a today as well.

Also noticed that one of Travellers 07 plate coaches has been fitted with Green Road and has a sticker on the door to prove it! Assume they have decided to invest in it as well across the fleet.

Lillyhalls destination displays on the 302 to carlisle looking a bit squashed up lately they are quite hard to read also X4 X5 only say Keswick now theres no mention of penrith anymore, not very good for new customers and visitors is it. I think they need to get someone else to programme them in future

I'll agree with the spacing on 302 on normal LED's. Remember that the Profile's do not have "standard" Hanover's and have to be programmed specially.

Some flip dots have been updated today. The new smaller bottom line suggests that a "for Penrith X50" or something may have been added, but as the connecting runs were all Profile's, I'm not sure if they have.

47006 with the new Moorclose Circular 50 layout. (my picture).

Don't want to take over the thread too much with it, but I've added a few images created by myself that Lillyhall could use to improve.

Current Maryport 302 on standard LED (with exception of text on bottom line):

Better version:
5965151746_446cdd53cf_z.jpg

The only change made is changing "Maryport" from font 1310C2E1 to 1210B2E1.

A good flip dot version would be as illustrated here:
5965152010_97d71a7019_o.png

A similar version to flip dots could be used on the Profile's. (Just incase the person who programmes them is reading, top line is 0908B2E1 and bottom line is 0605N1E1 ;))

Had it for quite a while now, a stipulation of the insurance company

Solo 47721 on the 18.00 179 last night before it went back to Penrith to replace the delightfull 47018. That moment when you have a Carling in your hand and 47721 whizzes past....hmmmm..

22610 on X5.
16649 on Moorclose 50.

Forgot to add that 20994 been on 300-302's as well, with the 4 Scania's. Some Scania's were running up to 45 minutes late resulting in the 5th bus being allocated.
53338 was removed from service on X5 after having its n/s repeater smashed, resulting in the front indicators being on constant. It was replaced by a Profile.

In Carlisle today 79/179 branded Enviro 24120 working out of Penrith on the 104 for some reason unknown.

Some Lakes related news is that ex Carlisle 16351 is now working out of Kendal and in the short term has replaced CMS 14245 which has blew it's engine and is at Morecambe for repair. All of the ALX400's and 16294 were out for the air show today in Bowness. 20949 operated dupes on this service. The 505's were 33170 & 47009 while 47008 & 20919 were on the 517. The 516 was 47055 IIRC. 33173 was booked out onto the 505 but never made it out for some reason. 20905/20967/20456/20457 & 18360 were at Ambleside.

London Trident 17246 arrived at Kendal on Sat night ready for onward transfer, this was one of 3 to be picked up so I presume the other 2 are at Lillyhall or they never made it for some reason.

Seems unusual for a vehicle to land at Kendal on its way north. Do we know where these 3 Tridents are for? Can't help wondering if they're to replace the OT Olympians....

I would have thought Kendal would be able to manage without 14245 for a while, now that schools have finished.

The 3 OT Olympians are finished after this season ends and are due to be replaced by 3 Tridents. Would seem daft to convert these now when they will sitting doing nothing for months on end after treatment, would make more sense for these to be the batch for Preston.

You might have thought that but 16351 has replaced it!

Depends how long Lillyhall take converting them! Can't say I've been impressed with the pace of the Merseyside Tridents...

I think the Tridents have taken longer then expected due to LL having to prioritise their own stuff. KLs MANs are still up there as far as I know to have bike racks fitted. Surely another depot could fit those bike racks and take the pressure off.
