The 174xx are awaiting Ensign to pick them up having been sold.

17744 is awaiting a trip to Bus & Coach World for single door conversion before transfer to Norfolk Green.

17196 - 17199 are down as at Carlise (Reserve), any idea what the plan with them is?

They were based at Fife who usually keep them for a while before passing them off to either Perth or Strathtay.

But according to November's fleetlist it's a Group Transfer to C&NL so they must be getting put out to use there.

Well given they've been repainted, as reported on here, they're not going there for parts stripping...

17489,17490,17495 and 17744 are stored at morecambe, anyone know what is happening to them?

And yet Morecambe is still running step-entrance Olymipans and had a B10 in service recently

Aside from 17744, they're all the short version of the trident (H43/21D as opposed to H51/22D on the S-BWCs and H45/23D on more modern dual doors), so capacity wise they aren't great for Morecambe.

Oh, and being full-height London spec, they won't fit in the underpass at the University.

Fair point on the length, but do full height buses not fit in the underpass any more? They used to...?

Since when have full height vehicles, not been able to fit in the underpass?

Ribbles 1437-1446 (LHG 437-446T) which were 14'8" were regularly used on the 471 & 472 University services.

Also Lancaster operated a very sizeable fleet of full height LT Leyland Titans through the Underpass without a problem for years. Clearance isn't an issue unless something has been done to lower the height of the underpass.

Are solos rare on the 61 out of Preston to Blackpool?

I was on the 1900 from Blackpool to Preston on Friday evening & passed one heading the other way at Ribby Hall.

Not really. During the day in 2012 I saw a Versa on a 61 duty, and given what your saying was the evening, a Solo would not be unusual.

The LCC tendered journeys on route 68 do produce a Solo, though the last time I was in Blackpool, on a night when I didn't have a camera, they had a Dennis Trident in use.

Whilst in Southport at around 07:50 on Saturday morning, I witnessed a X2 branded double decker on Lord Street with "Sorry not in Service" on the blinds, would this vehicle be running empty to Liverpool Queen Square to start it's diagram?

that would of been starting the 8:06am X2 from Southport to Liverpool, When Buses go dead from Preston - Liverpool they go via St Helens (down the Rainford Bypass then up the East Lancs) I have seen this happen a lot
