For all those interested the Reays open topper will be launched saturday in the lakes on the 55 Via the r104 & r50 from carlisle. It's the mighty Horse Ledge (N411 JBV) ex london central then on to the Isle of Wight converted in to open topper in 2009 (25k Conversion) now finishing its days off in the Cumbrian Lake District still displaying its name Horse Ledge given to it by Southern Vectis on the Island Breezers routes. Departs 08.30 of the Crescent in Carlisle Saturday

SV

Is this the only open topper reays will be using? just wondered because they currently use 3 buses a day on the lakes hopper.

20960 was on the Gilwilly 104 today along with 18357, seems they can hardly get a double decker going let alone 17017...

right so we have useless tridents for the 104, useless open top tridents for the 78 but which is worse....?

theres only one way to find out.....

:D

16336 is used on the 78 for reliability.

17017 spends it's time in Carlisle and is not used on the 104.

20960 is a perfect allocation for the 104 as there is no schools.

New timetable only has a PVR of 1. So 1 O/T unless there has been a monumental cock up with the timetable.

Another fine B10 leaving Kendal in replace for a rubbish one.

Would hate to see the rest of yours then as 20219 is not as good as the majority of ours! It was when we had it originally but not a patch on the ones we have now.

Does anyone else think the damage looks a bit odd?

Not a major job to get that back out if they were happy with making it all open top instead of the dome at the front.

Reays 2 new Enviros landed this weekend. PX12COU & J. There should be a 3rd but could not see it. They have replaced 3 MPD's.

Kendal have had 17221 on the road for 3 days or so now.

MPD 34220 under repaint at Carlisle along with 47060. 22809 is just about finished.

Rennies 52671 landed over the weekend for work.

18354 broke down on the X8 on Sat and is now sitting in Carlisle depot, with 16337 at Preston judging by what was in the depot this morning.

47020 still under service prep.

I am told it is a replacement for 16185 which failed at ulverston last week after replacing a X35 trident at Kendal. 16185 made Ulverston before dieing.
18279 would be the Trident that broke down, saw it being towed in on the 17th by Furness Car/Commercials wrecker. 16185 and 18279 parked at back of Barrow depot 18th, where 16325 16326 16441 used to be, anyone know their whereabouts please?

You have me doubting myself now but sure it was 47060 lol!

Well I've seen 59 about, and 61 and 62 are around Workington today

Do you know what looks odd in the damage?

The very front of the upstairs on the photo looks fine or not too bad yet the bit at the back it obviously smashed, How does that work presuming it wasn't reversing? anyone else think that?

It looks like it was just too tall and with the camber of the road it just hit it at such speed to wedge its roof there, as the bus managed to get right the way under the bridge and through to the other side.

It will be back out by the end of the week.

For some reason Chorley based vehicles are today working the 113 Preston - Wigan route. Solo 47334 & 47484 noted along with ALX200 Dart 33472.

Stagecoach no longer work the 114. The contract for this and the 112 changed to Preston Bus as of today. Though Stagecoach continue to work some late evening journeys on the 114.

Chorley are now operating the 113 interworked with the 109 to compensate them for losing the 337,347 and 114

Keith - I would imagine the Olympians you mentioned have migrated to Lillyhall for further storage.

Thanks Michael, they were all in use up to early July on drivers shuttle/schools locally. Presume not required now due to schools holidays.
