Oh yeah I'd seen the drivers pay ones on the back. They had a whole campaign going at some point with posters and all lol.

I'm hoping some pictures of that X2 Olys at Lancaster will pop up someware. Was thinking, surely Preston could remove their own branding rather then sending it to Lancaster. I must be easier to remove branding then put it on right? Very tempted to swing by the depot later and have a peek lol.

New branding looks good!! Couple more pics after this one. obviously not my pictures.

You could do that, but the reason, I think, Morecambe has them is simply a question of Space. All of Stagecoach's depots in Preston as well as the Preston Bus one are full to capacity and cannot cope with storing buses.

yes I think your right all about space. Is that Scania in the picture at Preston depot? I assume so but could well be up here for branding.

I like the big X2 on the side. Looks side something from red noes day lol.

Right chaps bit of a correction. The X2 branded decker seen in Morecambe yesterday was NOT a Volvo Oly it was a new Scania apparently. This isn't official its just been ID from pictures lol.

Oh? I was under the impression they were going straight down to Preston for familliarisation.

Gez at SC Lancaster reports that an Oly has indeed turned up and will be off to Barrow shortly.

Oh well the person who saw it says it was bubble shaped. I showed them a pic of the Scania then a pic of an old Oly and they claimed it was the Scania. Could have been wrong and Gez will defo know so must have been an Oly unless 2 have turned up.

More likely actually that 2 have turned up when you think about it. Preston's space again....

Yeah exactly.

Do you reckon that when te N reg Olys go to Barrow, the 85 seat Leylands will come to Preston to displace some of the ex-PB e-regs?

It would make sense because some of PB's oldies are so so old and really need getting rid of. But to be honest who knows. Knowing SCNW they will probably make a completely un logical decision lol. you never know Chorleys 04 plate tridents may end up as part of old PB.

They probably will, along with the S, T, V regs from Manchester. But the E regs are required for school runs as the contract requires 85 seaters. At least that's what Themaster85 tells us.

FINALLY! both 08 reg solo's on Mirehouse Circulars 3 & 4, both 51 reg solo's on Moorclose Circulars 50 & 51, and both T reg Darts on 46 & 47!!!!!
rather oddly, one of the Jonck's for X4 / X5 was in Whitehaven this afternoon!!! B10m's were seen running X4 and X5!
25225 was on 30.
20768 was on 300's. 16653 entered Workington Bus Station at half 2 ish with "Whitehaven 300" on display, but left "Sorry Not In Service".

i was lucky enough to be on 2 of the less rattly E300's today! i was on 22599 and 22610.

thinking about PB, it wouldnt suprise me if the R reg oly's from LL went down there when they get replaced in September. they're 87 seaters.

Fair point, how many "stretch" deckers do Lillyhall have currently?
I read somewhere that 26 vehicles will probably leave PB.
I think the 2 Omnidekkas should go to Yorkshire Traction, displacing their 2 B7TLs which can head up to Scotland to join similar vehicles and send 2 Tridents down to Preston.

5 Volvo Olympians (R reg, 87 seat) and 3 Leyland Olympians (H reg, 85 seat i think) at Lillyhall. H's will stay for local school work though probably.

So that leaves 2 Volvo and 3 Leylands that could go down to Preston.

Dallamlad, there was indeed a Scania at Morecambe, waiting to be taked down to Preston. It was 15472, PX09 AXB

16358, 16733 and 16734 are the shorter oly's.
the long wheelbase ones are 16651 - 5.

with the short wheelbase volvo oly's being fitted with CCTV, it could mean that some Alexander RL's could go to Preston, which will probably mean Alexander RH's come to Lillyhall for storage until sold / scrapped.

i've been told 33163 is at Carlisle for re-panneling and paint.

It'll be part of the introduction I guess, try them out on the odd turn for a while and see if it impacts on maintainence, and more importantly if they can cope with the route.

I'm not sure what low floor vehicles will be heading to Barrow, but I'd guess at Tridents ex-Manchester and possibly some MAN 18.220s, again ex-Manchester.

Thanks mbonwick for the info about the Scania. I'm hoping some more pics of it will pop up some ware but I'm sure we'll see plenty off images of them in Preston. I'm quite looking forward to March to see what happens with SC in Preston.:D

Well as Stagecoach have lost about 3 contracts from March, there'l be quite a few spare buses floating around. I guess any Solos from Fleetwood would replace the MetroRiders with PB and/or possibly some Lynxs.

34617 has been involved in an accident with a car at the junction of Tulketh Road and Watery Lane in Preston. Apparently no serious injuries. The car looked to have turned right straight into the path of the bus.

34617 is shown here with CCTV, which should prove useful in the investigation into the crash.
