I was in the nags head in lancaster in the smoking bit which looks over the bus station and looking at the road around the bus station they have ripped it all up cobbles and all, me thinks it wont be ready for wednesday, i dont think they are doing anything with the bus station.

Thats a shame some of it is really getting past its best but not all.

The all thing i heard about the Bus Station, is that its being repainted, well the road works are going on.

Frenchwood News, 33165 still remains stored but is of course sold to Ensignbus, the 2 ex Lincolnshire darts are infact 33203/4, these are possibly here as with the new 4C, at least one if not 2 extra vehicles will be required M-F daytime, which could result in the likes of 33163/71/2 staying... only time will tell (although they're pushing it a bit for the September route/college restart).
16352 was in the bodyshop area of the workshop this morning so could be being prepared for repaint.
The mentioned Olympian was 16184 and the Trident 18374. The 9's are being effected with all the Darts needed on the Penwortham as Cop Lane is shut and the estate its being diverted around is a tad tight on space and also at least 2 MANs look to have been towed in recent days, one of them being 22260... nice to see they are still as reliable as ever!

A lot going on at Frenchwood then!

Is there a reason Manchesters E400H's are 10 plates but the Scanias we are getting will be 60 plate? I guess Manc want to put the hybrids into service ASAP but this may not be till Sep anyway if they brand them etc...

47617 on SL Ltd and Staff Shuttles.
47062 on Staff Shuttles.
47060 on Workington Town Services.
47616 on Whitehaven - Maryport 30.
53336 and 53337 on X5.
20436 and 20910 on 301. 20436 sounding rather ill again. it was refusing to change up a gear, and then finally banged in. it sounded to have the "ghosts" that 20768 had not long before dying. it also had a rather full load on the late running 1635 to Carlisle.

I heard it earlier this evening... doesn't sound good at all... Ah well, it'll be on disposals soon anyway, that's if it doesn't go "pop" first!! One of only two "THD-101" engined B10Ms left in service at Lillyhall... Pretty decent 20195 being the other!

Whitehaven this morning:
47616 - 1 Lowca
35247 - 2 Kells/Greenbank
47061 - 3 Mirehouse Circular
47062 - 4 Mirehouse Circular

Workington this afternoon:
47060 and 47006 on Harrington
20913 and 47059 on Moorclose
20919 and 47005 on Seaton
20962 on 14:30 Northside

20994 out on the 600 today

Journey to Whitehaven onboard a reasonably healthy 22611 with the exception of the vibrating of the rear panels! Gearbox sounded much better than last week, no painful squealling! Came back on an OK 20130 although the gearbox was a bit squeally going up the gears and did struggle getting out of Harrington!:)

Also is there defo nothing new (as in brand new) coming for the X12?

I noticed today that some of the holes in the bus station apron have been filled in which is good!

The 14*** Leyland Olympian's are definitely going.
(Possibly some Volvo Olympians, and the older B10M's, eg: 20129, 20130, 20195, 20436 etc... But that's just speculation at this stage.)
The Scania's will hopefully enter service on 1st September.

Good stuff, I think some B10's will go with all the service changes.

33168 and 20763 were in Carlisle today, being driven by Cumbria Police officers, whose car was parked outside CE depot.

52405 on 554 with broken suspension.
both Jonck's on 685 surprisingly!
33161 on short 685's.
33162 on 71 and 101.
one of S-RAO Varios on 95.
wasn't anything really exciting down at the depot.

42672 is up at Carlisle from Penrith. it arrived with Buttermere 77 on displays, but it went out onto 66! so much for it being a spare for Buttermere Circulars

20436 joined 16447 and 16653 on 300. i didn't see the other slot.
20994 and 16651 on 600. 20910 and 20994 on evening 301's.

20934 on 30 and 31 with 35246 and 35248.
47060 died in Workington Bus Station this evening. 20945 went on Seaton instead of it. 20945 itself had a few problems getting into gear.
