This bus was out and about in Exeter yesterday (25/2/25) though was not in service when I saw it.

It was going past the bus station heading towards Paris Street roundabout.

It's been out on tests a few times lately. Apparently it's meant to leave us in a week or so.
Does this mean that it has been tested under Tan Lane bridge?

I doubt it, Tan Lane now has a mandatory (round sign) height restriction of 3.1m. They can't legally run it there.
Stagecoach have announced Plymouth area service changes from 30 March including taking over all but 1 of Plymouth city Council tendered routes and service 59 from Devon county Council.

Interesting. I don't live in Plymouth so have no idea but how busy is nightlife in Plymouth? I know the City Centre has some pubs and maybe a club or two but I wouldn't have thought there would be much demand for anything after about midnight, certainly not for a 4am to Saltash. Time will tell.

Probably. Three are generally required for the rural routes outside Exeter. 183 and 184 were taken out of service after 18th March

Evening folks. Although the changes to the Stagecoach services in Plymouth have been discussed here, and elsewhere, before there are changes also in Exeter (every route!), as well as Exmouth, North Devon and South Devon wef 20/04/2025 and the details are on Stagecoach's website. Among them are things such as loss of ScSW's share of the 178, increased frequencies in Exeter and, in North Devon, evening journeys on the 155 between NDDH, Barnstaple and Landkey...
There are rather a lot of changes overall!

Interestingly it appears that Devon funding is for Plymouth Citybus, rather than Stagecoach. Certainly Go-Ahead announced additional electric buses for Plymouth from the funding.

According to Torbay Weekly, with the additional funding received, Stagecoach in Torbay will have a fully electrified fleet by the end of 2026
