Stagecoach Plymouth changes from September 5th seem to be appearing on Travelline etc..

Park and ride 101 is cancelled , George Junction to city centre served by enhanced service 1 via Derriford, Mannamead Road and Mutley every 10 mins (at least...more frequent again in peak times). Every 2nd bus (20 min frequency) continues to Tavistock

From what I can tell Citybus 61 diverts from Peverell Cherry Tree along Outland Road to city centre to provide service from Milehouse Park and Ride to city centre.

Service 200, Coypool Park and Ride is cancelled, I can't see a replacement , anyone know what is happening here?

Also city council subsidised 19 and 31 showing as cancelled, have Stagecoach lost these?

City college 36 passes from Stagecoach to Citybus at same time.

There is also an odd DY1 from Chaddlewood to Camels Head only few times a day assume this is Dockyard contract?
It would seem that Stagecoach is getting worse all over.

To be honest I think axing 101 and running extra services on 1 makes sense as they pick up a fair few passengers on Mannamead Road corridor to city , a lot more than along Outland Road, I am surprised they don't divert their 2 and 2a into the Milehouse site though to make up for it ...rather than let Citybus in.

I am also rather surprised there appears to be no service at Coypool, unless this hasn't been registered yet!!

I think there may be a few other changes coming up in Plymouth from PCB as well. TravelineSW has new timetables for a number of their routes although AFAICT it is mostly, if not all, minor changes to the timetables of those routes.

So buses will no longer service the Peverell Park Road which was the last tram route in Plymouth. 35/35A to serve Weston Park Road instead.

Really? I hadn't noticed that. Perhaps 35 Weston Park, 61 Via Milehouse and 62 via Peverell Park Road?

New timetables for 61/62 not yet showing on Traveline but if both go via Milehouse North Hill to Burleigh Corner will go from 6 buses an hour to 2.

At the moment, 24142 is working on the 4.
I'm not sure whether the 373 route is running since it hasn't been tracking.
The 373 has been tracking as a 1 from what I have seen, it was 10692 yesterday and 10453 today...

It saddens me to have to say that the bus service in Exeter is virtually useless at the moment. I fear it may never recover.
40 Exeter drivers have been sent to the Commonwealth Games, I was told by a driver today.

The E1/2 is missing a bus. This causes a lot of problems. For example, the bus that is missing is the bus that my dad gets to and from work.

18384 crashed into a fallen tree last night

Today, 44010 entered service on the 360 in place of one of the 9 broken Optares. I've been told that this will now be a permanent allocation.

I see from the VOSA Bus Service registrations of 08-Aug-2022 that a short-notice registration appeared for Dealtop (aka. Dartline?) for Service 373 between Cullompton and Tiverton Bus Station, via. Tiverton Parkway, wef 01-Aug-2022. An attempt at competition?

Dartline are filling the gaps in the stagecoach service. Tickets supposed to be valid on both.

Looking at VOSA 62 is withdrawn so yes 61 via Milehouse, 35 Weston Park Road and unless something new pops up no service at all along Peverell Park Road!

With some pretty major changes coming up on Stagecoach services in Plymouth and possibly Torbay... when are Stagecoach actually going to tell people??? It is now only 3 weeks to the changes come in and customers will need to plan different ways of getting to work etc? They may have also bought monthly passes to use on services that no longer exist... the 101 for example? To be fair Citybus are the same... services 27 and 62 are withdrawn at start of September and 61 totally changed routes but no notice?

Just been looking on TravelineSW. The site has no new TT as yet for the 61. The site also has new TTs for Service 12 (Newton Abbot - Brixham) for which there appear to be no major changes, merely a couple of tweeks to evening journeys. That timetable for Service 12 is wef 02-Oct-2022 so I think we won't hear anything on the Torbay area for a while and none of the other Torbay routes have new TTs on the site as yet.

It just all seems very odd that we are less than 3 weeks away from these changes and in some cases route cancellations and yet no news from either Stagecoach or Citybus. It is like they are waiting for something to happen before announcements??

Indeed: you would expect an OPCOs like Plymouth CityBus and Stagecoach SW to put the changes out in very good time. Saying that the websites for Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach Oxford currently give no details for the changes of 28th August - which is only 2 weeks away - at the time of writing this. However I wonder if not all of the registrations have gone through for them: the VOSA search of Bus Service Registrations for the West of England area had 9 entries for PCB on 12th August.

The traffic commissioner has just held an inquiry to a Stagecoach south west bus traffic incident that happened in 5 October 2019 has now published his report .here is the link to it

Interesting that the Traffic Commissioner reckoned that dividing long services (in this case the Torquay to Plymouth Gold) was not valid for the requirement for drivers to be 21. I wonder whether this will impact on other areas. An interesting decision generally.

Yes, I picked that up.

Also to note is that the Public Inquiry was to consider the failure to run services as registered as well, but this was held in abeyance due to the submission of further evidence by a traffic examiner shortly before the inquiry. It potentially means another PI soon for Stagecoach SW.

Stagecoach have some new registrations for Plymouth on VOSA today for services 19 and 31 plus Coypool Park and Ride (200). Interestingly 19 is now showing as not subsidised so taken on as commercial services by Stagecoach?

Presumably those will appear on the viewing facility over the next day or two.

Yes and might explain the delay in information from the companies. If 31 is back it would mean as it stands Stagecoach would have Peverell Park Road to itself!

Looking at it... Peverell Park Road will be served Mon to Friday only, once per hour 9am to 5pm on Stagecoach 31 and once per hour 9am to 2pm approx on citybus 41. Weston Park Road goes from current 4 buses an hour to 2 , 35/35a and 61 is twice an hour via Milehouse. No evening service at all on 61, or after 5pm along Peverell Park Road

PCB have now published all their changes on their website as per the Plymouth Citybus thread. Peverell Park Road will now be covered by Service 41.

To be honest Peverell Park Riad is better served by Stagecoach 31 as the 41 only operates until around 2pm. The SC 31 services at least runs until 5pm

Cancellations are really starting to creep up again with the I reduced to hourly for the past 2 days and the 222 gone completely today plus many others. This is only going to get worse as Stagecoach, having not learned from the Commonwealth Games mess, have posted a message to all drivers asking them to move to London to cover for TfL routes that are a higher priority to run for financial reasons. Drivers are also being offered incentives to go again. Something really needs to be done to stop this kind of thing happening as it is impacting peoples livelihoods and education across the country and the drivers lost lead to huge service gaps and instead will work in London to ensure high frequency there is maintained whereas a slightly reduced frequency would have far less impact. I get contractual obligations in London but it should not be allowed to the detriment of the rest of the country.

It's as if they don't care about the forthcoming Public Inquiry.

Stagecoach SW is rapidly becoming a basket case.
