I have recently gone for a position as Ground Staff (Mobile Operative) with a FOC, which I am currently waiting to hear back from. Is this a good route into one day hopefully becoming a train manager/driver?
Also, I appreciate that some FOC's have made redundancies of late and I have heard people say it's not an industry to join at the moment. What i read was very negative, although I appreciate that was just one persons view.
Can I ask what your thoughts are on the above? All replies greatly appreciated.
