Super Off Peak Day Return (Edinburgh to Lockerbie)

Simply, is this a ticket?

It is restriction code H4, so it should be valid on a Thursday with an outbound journey at 12:12, and the return at 22:35. But, when I look at various booking engines (ScotRail, TransPennine Expres), the ticket is not available.

These Super Off Peak fares are only valid for smartcard users on Scotrail services. Goodness knows why there's a fare in the data when no Scotrail services call at Lockerbie as far as I know.

On ScotRail's booking engine I have seen Super Off Peak tickets still get listed. I did a test for Stonehaven to Aberdeen just now and it shows a Super Off Peak option.

ScotRail are the station operator for Lockerbie despite not operating any trains to/from the station.

What you need to know

• Available Monday to Friday between 11:00 and 15:00, and after 20:00
• Only valid on ScotRail services on selected routes
• Standard class only
• You must return on the same day as your outward journey
