The railway doesn’t operate a Sunday service on bank holidays.

A normal Monday service will be in operation

Not quite how it works in the South East, but yes, not a Sunday service, more a modified Saturday service really.

Thanks for the swift responses everyone- it looks like the ticket is not valid before 12:00.
I’ll recommend my friend requests the return half of the ticket be excessed to off peak at the booking office prior to travel or if the office is not open approaches the guard immediately after boarding.
