The reality is that to sort the economy out we need growth.
And we are not going to get growth while people are worrying about losing their jobs, or having to pay more into pension schemes (to get less at the end of it), or are having their benefits (in a lot of cases benefits that the person is entitled to and deserves to get) slashed etc etc.
Note, I am not saying we don't need to sort out our spending. But the priorities have been wrong. We need growth first, then sort out the spending. Doing it the way this government is going about things simply means growth is not happening.
