Not strictly fares related so feel free to move...

I have a season ticket from Southampton to Croydon via Barnham. During the Southern strike action, SWT have been accepting 'Southern only' tickets on the Southampton and/or Havant to Waterloo lines - what I want to know is, does my ticket fall into that category? It's not 'Southern only', but the routeing does force the use of Southern trains, other than the couple of GWR trains each way.

When they say they are accepting 'Southern tickets' XYZ (I haven't reviewed the latest updates on that so, assuming they still are) I think you can safely take it to mean a ticket for a journey that you planned to make on Southern. Most journeys do not have Southern Only tickets available. If you were planning to use a through train from Southampton to Croydon with your Via Barnham ticket, as I imagine you probably were, and those trains are not running and SWT are accepting 'Southern tickets' for journeys in this area then you should be fine.

Perhaps someone who's got more up to date details of acceptance Thursday and Friday can be more specific :)
