Hi,

I was just wondering if any TOC's use agencies to recruit temporary staff for customer service related (or any other) roles?
Just thinking it could be easier to get in to the industry this way.

I know there are some agencies - one I can think of is Trainpeople (http://www.trainpeople.co.uk/) and also I know at least one TOC (XC) recruits casual staff, there may be more but tend to be advertised on their websites alongside the "permanent" roles.

Exactly how common it is - I don't know - I know the Unions for example aren't particularly happy about it.
