The plan is that the diagram starting in Holyhead is a unit in its entirety tomorrow (1V91/1W57/1V46/1W65) then on Thursday the Crewe to Crewe diagram (1V31/1W55/1V42/1W63) then on Friday HD02 should be available to fill back in on a Crewe start with 5 diagrams back on Friday.

What's the issue with HD02 this time?

Not too sure as it was being investigated in depot today. Believe it'll now be back out tomorrow now but will get back to Crewe and then have a loco swap to 67008 tomorrow night.

HD05 also planned a loco swap tomorrow with 67029 planned to do the morning Manchester part of the diagram before 67015 goes onto the rake and works the evening Holyhead

Does anyone know if the mark 4s are buffet only on Sundays, or is it restaurant as well? And will this change from the timetable change?

Now back early after its investigations, HD02 is allocated to the Crewe - Crewe diagram tomorrow 1V31/1W55/1V42/1W63.

Other Crewe starter currently allocated as a unit as HD07 struck an animal earlier today and will not be available in the morning for V33.

Yes it's still down as happening this afternoon.

There is expected to be 4 diagrams on Friday, 3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday and 4 on Monday due to the loss of HD07, that's now at Crewe ETD for repairs and bio clean after an animal strike last night and isn't expected back now until Tuesday.
HD03 at Crewe ETD has been on the wheel lathe for tyre turning whilst it's stored there, this will enable it to go straight back into service once its B exam is completed.

There has been an axle counter failure at Cardiff in the last hour or so and there’s quite a bit of congestion, especially getting things on & off of Canton

Yes can be as many labels, stickers & announcements as you like but there still always tends to be a few, either innocent & oblivious or triers!

Normally find that one will die down a bit after Abergavenny but hope the journey goes smoothly now it’s on the way!

New menu, the beef was delicious, but unfortunately all tiny portions, I had three courses and I was still hungry afterwards. A few potatoes with the main would have sorted it out, and a small bun with seaweed custard (they didn’t have the crab for it and I wouldn’t hugely recommend unless you really like egg!)

Sadly 1V50 is a unit for my journey back, so trying to make up some time and catch 1V46, two hours earlier.
