TfW Class 67+Mk4 sets: trip planning/experiences, diagram updates etc

By looking at which locos are available at Crewe IEMD from yesterday, the only operational one I could find was 67012. It could possibly be that one. Take it with a grain of salt though!

Looks like it'll be 67012, that will then go onto 1V91 for tomorrow.

67016 will then make the long trek up from Canton to Holyhead tomorrow to collect 67025 and both will then go to Crewe ETD for repair.

Current set status after this:
67029+HD01 at Canton- Tomorrow 1W13 1V39 1W96
HD02 stored at Crewe/Worksop
HD03+67013 in service, tomorrow 1V33 1W59 1V50
67015+HD04 on service, tomorrow 1W55 1V42 1W63
HD05 still on final repairs to Cow strike at ETD before moving to ATC for exam
67008+HD06 Stabled at ETD pending exam
67012+HD07 In service, tomorrow 1V91 1W57 1V46 1W65

67010 should be heading to Canton tomorrow morning taking over from 016 as the recovery loco. 016 currently en-route to Holyhead.

Any news regarding HD05 or is it still broken?

HD06 is now heading to ATC today so will have its B exam before HD05 now.

A few things had to go on the Styal line as a result

Why couldn't TfW have taken on the Mk5s instead? Same length and much newer.

They weren't available at the time....still with TPE. The Mark 5a stock may be newer, but they give an appalling ride compared to the Mark 4s and don't include any catering vehicles, so wouldn't have met TfW's spec anyway.
