I've just been watching a favourite childrens film from the 70's : The Belstone Fox http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069776/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
There is a scene where the pack of fox-hounds have a nasty encounter with a goods-train, hauled by a class 35 Hymek. From what I can gather, the scenes where shot near Crowcombe on the now West Somerset Railway. The line closed to all traffic in 1971, so I presume the use of the line was negotiated with B.R.
Does anyone have any further information about this ?
It would also be interesting to hear of any of films that made use of closed lines/stations ?

Well, it was a bit of a long-shot !
The perfect example would be The Titfield Thunderbolt, made on the Hallatrow to Camerton and Limpley Stoke branch.
