This is the first run of the season for this regular steam excursion from Bristol to Kingswear for Dartmouth. Today BR standard locomotive No. 70000 "Britannia", built in 1951, hauls the train which is first seen at Oyster Bend bridge near Goodrington, Paignton, then at Kingswear over the river from Dartmouth. Britannia is seen passing in front of Dartmouth's famous Royal Naval College.
