Bugger, I checked the NR map and it has a line going across the line seemingly bypassing Grantham!

Looks like Lampshade's now 3-1 up on me... Your go again.

I thought we could double-back as long as it didn't reach a station we had already been through (stopped at), so can't we go back to Stevenage on an EC service?

No cos the Grantham-Kings X train passed through Stevenage. I got pulled up for the same thing reversing out of Liverpool Lime St when Edge Hill had been called at, even though I had us going straight to Liverpool South Parkway.
Your 3-1 lead is intact, Lampshade!

That was before the rules clarification, which is stupid because Grantham - Stevenage via Kings Cross would never be permitted by any stretch of the imagination

Does now mean I can't do wild fast services like the Flying Scotsman for easy victories.

Some adjudications (have I spelt that right?)

This is quoted from rule 2, which in this case validates any fast service, so long as it is included in the timetable. In other words, if a player wishes to travel from Newcastle to Kings Cross, they can, provided they say "The Flying Scotsman" or something along those lines. (There'd even be an "A long wait..." bonus!)

Double backing is allowed, as long as you do not use a station which has already been used, e.g...

York-Kings Cross (quote service)-Finsbury Park-Stevenage (quote service) is valid.

Stevenage- Kings Cross-Finbury Park-Stevenage is not valid.

Finsbury Park- Kings Cross- Peterborough (quote service) is valid.

The next points totals...I'll work it out some time soon.

Seems as if the only way to 'win' is to get to the end of the single branch e.g. Windsor Line. But as none of us were properly aware, keep the scores as they are for now.

We'll take Class172's Stevenage.

And the edits to previous posts mean I will push myself forwards to the next station as well.
And that will be Colchester.
