Because the Torygraph likes to stir up a bit of trouble and give its reactionary readership something to have a good moan about?

Coincidentally or not Rupert Lowe MP has been complaining about it as well

I don't get the complaint from Gareth Bacon (me neither!!) regarding (the waste of) time and money.
As a new unit it would have arrived in base coat and required the rest of the livery applying by way of vinyls anyway. So all they have done is get some different vinyls. The time spent is the same, and okay it probably cost a bit more for bespoke vinyls than standard Avanti ones plus whatever they paid the artist, but still not megabucks.

Sorry to go against the grain here, but this is an absolute waste of money and time.

I get that there are some causes that the railway wants to support; however, surely the time, effort and money needs to go into meaningful improvements of substance as opposed to investing in what seems like cans of tutti frutti paint which have been thrown over the train.

I don’t care what a train looks like, I want to get from A to B on a reliable service.

PS: I’m not a Telegraph reader, btw
Would you agree that the various "Poppy" schemes that appear in the run up to Armistice Day are also a waste of money and time? They're no different as far as I'm concerned.

What about allover advertisements?

Honestly, it's a bit of paint/wrap to celebrate/commemorate this that and the other; it's really not worth getting one's undergarments into a fankle.

Don't people have better things to do rather than complain about vinyls on trains? It's not like Avanti is spending tax payer money on it.

Like Farage, the Telegraph loves to froth at the mouth about ‘woke’. I prefer ‘giving a damn’.
