Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

My mother is visiting me from Brighton an has travelled by train this evening (Friday). Apart from her disappointment at not getting a seat with a window, and a number of very excitable youngsters on their way home, she was happy with the journey.

The issue is with the return tickets on Sunday evening. The tickets are marked Long Eaton to St Pancras and London Victoria to Brighton. Mum however would prefer to use a FCC service to get from St Pancras.

The route information on the ticket says AP EMT & Connect.

Are her tickets valid on FCC services or does she have to use LUL from St Pancras to Victoria?

A) FCC haven't existed for a good half a year or more now, it's just Thameslink these days!
B) Unfortunately not. If it was specified when booked she could have probably got an advance routed through Thameslink by specifying via City Thameslink or something on the website she bought it from, but if the reservation says a Southern from Victoria that is what she will have to take unfortunately.
