It seems that the 1219 West Highland train doesn't stop at intermediate stations between Crianlarich and Fort William - which makes me think it is actually a bus. Does anyone know what's going on?

It is a bus from Crianlarich to Fort William due to shortage of traincrew..

I have taken the trouble to look at Scotrail Journey Check for you, details are listed there

Thanks. I looked at nationalrail, it is not as helpful in its explanation.
Shame as I am taking a foreign visitor and had promised Britain's most scenic railway, not the A82 :(
