On Friday I will be eating at a restaurant very close to St Pancras / Kings Cross at 1:15. I'll also be driving an electric car from near Beckton DLR to County Durham, leaving Beckton at a relatively low charge. So in an ideal world, my basic plan is to drive from Beckon to a publically accessible charger near a MML, ECML, or appropriate tube station, take the train in, and come back out to a charged car. (There are decent speed chargers near KGX/STP but they're inside the congestion charging zone which ain't my bag; I'm not near it enough to apply for the discount).

My current plan is head around the M25 to Cockfosters with a backup station of Oakwood, as both have decent chargers at them - but not many! So it's a bit risky (not in terms of charge, but in terms of turning up in time).

I'm not sure the best way to research this though and it feels as though there should be better options.

In theory I would consider the bus. Also have no problem in dirving directly and parking nearby but then it means I have to charge somewhere relatively soon after without a meal to distract me.

(Bumping this on offchance it gets it seen - otherwise I stick with current plan!)

Only thing I'd add is I'm going to have to stop off at 3pm* on the way up so charging maybe not quite so important heh

*if you happen to be a PhD student in AI with a scheduled interview at that time with a Watford based company then DM me ima basically automatically employ someone from railforums
**If not but you're at least masters or oxbridge BA in AI related field, or talented autodidact, or properly useful real world experience and build me a candidate solution to satisfy my above question Ima guarantee you an interview too.

(both above offers good for 30 days and 100% genuine; I have a lot of other people's money to throw around and why not try this obscure recruitment method!)
