Depends on what the advert says. I know some TOCs are trialling Trainee Driver Managers but the majority will require you to be a qualified driver normally.

This will depend entirely on the position. Some TOCs split the role into 'line' manager and 'competence' manager positions. Before anyone else can advise, is there a particular vacancy you are looking at?

Yes it will be. I think there’s a typo in the advert (it says “we are looking for an experienced Driver Manager” and I think manager is wrongly added).
